March of Dimes

March of Dimes has been raising awareness and fighting to help save premature babies.  Their main goal is to "Work together for stronger, healthier babies."  As a member of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) at our school, we have been competing to see which class can raise the most money for March of Dimes. So I thought I would share with you all about it as well, that way, maybe you can start your own fundraiser to help save the babies.

More than 13 million babies are born prematurely worldwide.  Many of them don't make it to see their first birthday.  In the United States, 1 in 8 babies are born prematurely.  Premature birth is the number one cause of death during the first month of life.

Here are some pictures of premature babies; provided by March of Dimes website.

If you would like to get involved with March of Dimes, here are some ways how:
-Educate yourself and others! Learn more about March of Dimes and what they do!
-Use purple to attract attention! Hang balloons, banners, streamers, make some shirts, or anything else you can think of!
-Dedicate a Facebook status or blog post
-Set up a collection box and check under the couch cushions, empty your jean pockets, search your wallets and car!
-Sign up for a March of Dimes walk!

There are so many ways that you can get involved!

This is the shirt I made to help spread the word...It didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, but oh well!
"There is no foot too small that cannot leave an Imprint on this world."

Let's all work together to change the world!

Hey Everybody,
Sooo sorry it has taken me so long to write another blog post! I have been very busy! We started new classes at school, so I have been adjusting to them and I started my own little business! It is called Vintage Rosie!:) "Like" it on Facebook! Right now it is just bobby pins that my step mom and I make, but we will hopefully be adding some more things to it! Check it out!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I got to hang out with a really good friend, Hannah, whom I haven't hung out with in awhile and we made this...
You can make it by taking a blank canvas, hot glue crayons of your choice, and then blow dry the crayons to make them melt! At first the crayons may splatter so wear old clothes and maybe do it outside! But they were so much fun to do!

Lately I have had been thinking about going on a mission trip! Not sure where to yet, but I just know it would be a life changing experience! I would love to go and help out in an orphanage! Going to start checking out some mission trips, so I can run it by the parents and see what they think! Wish me luck!

I promise, I will be better at updating Speak Now! I will try to do one at least every week!
I hope Everyone is having a great year so far!
Share Speak Now with others!
Happy Sunday!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Okay, this is my very first blog, so I may not be very good at...but I wanted to create this blog, because I LOVE helping others and I want to Speak Now for the children who don't have a voice, for the children who don't have a family, for the children who spend EVERY day struggling just to find food and water, and just for all the other kids who may be sick or need help!  Many people probably don't know how to help these kids, which is why I want Speak Now to become a place where they can learn how!
So please Follow!!:)

And since today Is Jesus's Birthday, I had my two little sisters make birthday cards last night to teach them the true reason for Christmas....

 Kinsley's finished birthday card! :)
Laya doing the best she can (lol) :)

And for my first order of business...here are a few things I got today, that help others!
TOMS (For every pair you purchase, TOMS will donate a pair to a child in need), 147 Million Orphans shirt (Spreads orphan awareness and provides food/water/medicine to a child), and Uganda Bead hoop earrings from 147 Million Orphans-along with a sticker:)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
